Role Overview

The Vice President of Project Management Excellence is a fully remote, full-time position charged with directing and enhancing project and program management efforts within the organization. This leader is responsible for setting and maintaining project management standards, frameworks, and tools to ensure consistent and successful delivery of major projects such as the franchise launch, infrastructure undertakings, and fan engagement initiatives. Responsibilities include establishing project governance, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, defining project schedules and milestones, and tracking progress regarding budgets and strategic goals. The role involves assessing risks and dependencies, implementing best practices, reporting to executives and stakeholders, mentoring project managers, driving continuous improvements, and aligning operational plans with overarching company objectives.

• Proven expertise in managing complex, multi-party projects and programs.
• Strong skills in project planning and financial oversight, adept at handling timelines, resources, and budgets.
• Analytical aptitude for assessing project outcomes, risk identification, and promoting data-informed decisions.
• Significant experience in developing and enforcing project management frameworks, standards, and governance especially in evolving organizations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with leadership teams, technology groups, and external partners in a remote environment.
• Outstanding communication, stakeholder engagement, and change leadership skills.
• Industry experience in sports, entertainment, or large event management desirable; knowledge of infrastructure or venue development considered an asset.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, engineering, or related disciplines; advanced degrees or certifications such as PMP/PMI highly preferred.
