Key Role Overview
The Vice President of Operations & Growth will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s next phase of expansion. This leadership position goes beyond traditional operations management by focusing on building organizational strength, developing leadership talent, and establishing scalable systems to double the business while maintaining the company’s agility and customer-first culture.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and implement operational and organizational structures that enable substantial growth.
- Develop scalable leadership roles and establish consistent operating rhythms.
- Partner in strategic and capacity planning, market expansion, and integrate acquisitions.
- Assess organizational readiness and identify areas to enhance scalability.
- Build and mentor a strong leadership team to drive performance.
- Create recruitment strategies to position HVAC RNTL as a preferred employer.
- Innovate workforce development pipelines, especially for technicians and operations staff.
- Align operational capabilities with sales goals to support revenue growth.
- Enhance customer experience and operational responsiveness.
- Maintain strategic relationships with key clients.
- Implement effective operating systems that improve consistency while avoiding bureaucracy.
- Establish meaningful metrics to measure performance and improve fleet productivity and resource utilization.
- Identify profitability improvement opportunities while preserving operational agility.
- Develop strategies for growth in data center operations including labor and execution plans for mission-critical environments.
- Support delivery of large-scale data center projects.
- Maintain strong field presence through branch visits, customer engagement, and operational reviews, traveling about 30-40% of the time.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred.
- Over 10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations.
- Proven multi-site management experience overseeing managers and senior leaders.
- Track record of driving organizations through periods of expansion and scaling.
- Experience building and developing high-performing teams and leadership talent.
- Strong background in recruitment strategy and workforce development.
- Extensive customer-facing leadership experience.
- Preferred industry experience includes equipment rental, industrial services, specialty contracting, or construction services.
- Experience with acquisition integration is a plus but not essential.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Combination of office work, virtual collaboration, branch visits, and field engagement.
- Exposure to warehouse, job sites, and customer environments during visits.
- Approximately 40% travel required, including overnight stays.
- Use of standard office equipment and occasional physical activities such as standing, walking, climbing, and site inspections.
- Ability to adapt to various work settings including offices, branches, and job locations.
