Role Overview

We are currently hiring a Vehicle Inspector to join our vehicle operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for thoroughly inspecting all incoming vehicles to ensure they meet Clutch’s quality criteria before undergoing reconditioning or being listed for sale. This role involves documenting vehicle conditions, detecting any problems, and coordinating with internal departments to maintain smooth operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles upon arrival, assessing damage, cleanliness, and mechanical status.
• Identify any defects or issues that do not comply with Clutch’s quality benchmarks and report them accordingly.
• Safely drive, relocate, start, and park vehicles within the lot to maintain efficient workflow.
• Use checklists and digital tools to record inspection findings accurately.
• Work closely with reconditioning, detailing, and mechanical teams to prioritize vehicle processing.
• Troubleshoot minor vehicle problems when necessary.
• Maintain organized work areas and adhere strictly to all safety protocols.

Qualifications and Skills

• Keen attention to detail with the ability to follow set processes diligently.
• Comfort working outside through all weather conditions.
• Basic automotive knowledge or a willingness to learn.
• Possession of a valid G2 or higher driver’s license with a clean record.
• Ability to operate automatic transmission vehicles; manual driving is an asset.
• Proficiency with tablets or basic computer software.
• Dependable team player willing to assist wherever needed.
• Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) including possible overtime.

Preferred Experience

• Background in automotive, logistics, or warehouse operations is advantageous.
• Experience using Google Sheets or other digital platforms.
• Skill in driving manual transmission cars is preferred.
