Transportation Analyst

Role Overview

This position entails managing interactions with bulk customers to ensure order details entered into the Transportation Management System (TMS) are accurate before dispatch to carriers. The Transportation Analyst verifies shipment specifics, customer contacts, product information, and delivery criteria to maintain integrity of orders and communicates updates to relevant internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with bulk customers to confirm the accuracy of order information prior to tendering shipments to carriers.
• Validate shipment and delivery details, including locations, customer contact data, bulk product specifics, delivery quantities, meter or scale unloading requirements, and other pertinent order validations.
• Precisely document customer communications following established call scripts.
• Execute all mandatory updates in the Transportation Management System (TMS) related to order information.
• Send email notifications to Customer Service after verifying orders and updating systems.
• Ensure complete and accurate order data, safeguarding order integrity.
• Detect and resolve inconsistencies or discrepancies found during order validations.
• Maintain professional and courteous telephonic interactions with customers.
• Collaborate with the Bulk Control Tower team and adhere to operational instructions.
• Perform tasks independently, with minimal or no supervision.

Candidate Requirements

• Prior experience engaging customers and validating order information in a professional setting.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and updating business systems.
• Exceptional customer service and telephone communication skills.
• Strong aptitude for accurately documenting interactions and data entry.
• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) for data updates.
• High attention to detail with commitment to accuracy in order processing.
• Ability to work autonomously and stay organized.
• Capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Preferred experience includes working in transportation, logistics, order management, supply chain operations, or handling bulk product order validation processes.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay rate for this non-exempt role is $21.27. Eligible employees receive overtime pay at 1.5 times the base rate for hours worked beyond 40 weekly or as required by law.
