Job Overview
If you enjoy working outdoors and are passionate about trains and technology, this apprenticeship as a rail track builder is ideal. Starting from 1st September 2027, we are offering a three-year vocational training position at DB InfraGO AG located in Osnabrück. The vocational school and training workshop are based in Hamburg.
Training Details
- Work collaboratively outdoors on construction sites, maintaining and installing railway tracks.
- Install new rails and switches; inspect and replace damaged components.
- Use modern machinery to renew the track ballast beneath the rails.
- Ensure precise measurements for safe and smooth train operation.
- Contribute as a vital team member ensuring train reliability during your training period.
Candidate Profile
- Successfully completed or about to complete school with a recognized German school certificate.
- B2-level German language proficiency at minimum.
- Preference for physical outdoor work rather than desk jobs.
- Motivated, reliable, and enjoys teamwork.
- Comfortable with varied work locations, schedules, and night shifts.
