Overview
Traffic Safe NZ Ltd is currently recruiting multiple full-time Traffic Management Operatives (TMOs) and Site Traffic Management Supervisors (STMSs) for their North Auckland Silverdale branch. Join a leading team committed to safety and developing careers in traffic management while ensuring safe and efficient traffic flows on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain compliant temporary traffic management (TTM) sites as per the approved plans.
- Manage live traffic operations including controlling stop/go signals and adapting layouts in real-time.
- Lead and supervise on-site teams by conducting toolbox talks and coordinating daily task assignments.
- Conduct site inductions, perform safety inspections, and keep detailed records.
- Promote an active safety culture and ensure all on-site safety protocols are adhered to.
Candidate Requirements
- Holding a current practicing qualification as TMO or STMS A/B, or willingness to train and obtain certification through Traffic Safe’s support programs.
- Possess a valid New Zealand Class 1 driver’s license; comfortable operating manual transmission vehicles. Class 2 license is advantageous.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with confidence in making risk-based decisions on-site.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Physically fit and prepared to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Prior experience in traffic management across diverse worksite environments.
- Firm commitment and deep understanding of health and safety practices.
