Job description
About La Boite Theatre and Role Overview
La Boite Theatre is seeking experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Artists to join our pool of creative facilitators. We aim to cultivate a diverse group of skilled artists who can conduct engaging workshops in various domains such as Shakespeare, Verbatim Theatre, Comedy, and Children's Storytelling, among others. This is a continuous expression-of-interest (EOI) opportunity without a fixed recruitment deadline; applications are assessed on an ongoing basis, encouraging artists from all backgrounds and creative fields to participate.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least five years of professional experience within the creative industry, either as an artist or workshop facilitator.
- Proven capability or significant experience in teaching artistic skills or leading workshops.
- Ability to confidently lead training sessions in specialized practice areas, with clear understanding of personal strengths and limitations regarding facilitation topics.
- Possession of a current Working With Children (Blue) Card mandatory for this role.
- Must hold an active Australian Business Number (ABN).
- Access to a vehicle for commuting to educational institutions; provision for petrol reimbursement is included.
