Talend Administrator

Role Overview

Innova Solutions is looking for a Talend Administrator to manage, maintain, and support the Talend data integration platform across on-premises and AWS environments in Hyderabad.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and apply patches for Talend components such as Studio, TAC, Job Server, and Remote Engine in both on-premises and AWS setups.
• Keep the platform stable by carrying out Linux patching tasks and actively monitoring job servers and remote engines.
• Handle administration of Talend TAC and TMC consoles, including SSL setup for TAC and job servers.
• Carry out standard Talend admin work such as creating projects, users, and user groups; setting project permissions; adding job servers; checking firewall access; and managing deployments.
• Perform upgrades and patching for Tomcat, TAC, Job Server, Studio, and Java.
• Support migration work, including moving from TAC to TMC and shifting runtime environments from on-premises to AWS.
• Write and run SQL queries to retrieve data from backend databases and servers running on Linux and AWS.
• Use Unix/Linux scripting to automate monitoring and maintenance activities.
• Investigate and fix issues such as failed jobs, slow performance, TAC or job server hangs, Studio launch or login problems, version save issues, and GitLab branch locking problems.
• Create small Talend jobs for administrative automation and internal use.
• Follow Dev and Admin best practices in day-to-day work.
• Support integration of Control-M scheduling with Talend jobs.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong administration experience with Talend Data Integration, Big Data, and Real-Time Big Data platforms, preferably version 8.0.1.
• Practical experience managing TAC, TMC, job servers, and remote engines.
• Proven background in migrating Talend projects and jobs across versions and environments, including on-premises and AWS.
• Good Unix/Linux scripting ability for automation and monitoring.
• Working knowledge of metaServlet API calls for administration and automation.
• Hands-on exposure to Tomcat, Java version management, and TAC/job server patch upgrades.
• Strong SQL skills with experience working on SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, and backend database queries.
• Experience with Talend Cloud (TMC) administration and migration tasks.
• Familiarity with Control-M scheduling integration.
• Basic development experience in Talend Studio.

Additional Information

The position is based in Hyderabad, India. The compensation is listed at INR 15,00,000 to 27,50,000 per year.
