About the Role
Join Catholic Healthcare and make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults. We are seeking compassionate individuals to support clients in the Western Sydney area including Parramatta, Blacktown, Auburn, and Riverstone. This role involves visiting clients’ homes to help them maintain independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Support clients with daily household chores such as cleaning, tidying, and laundry according to their care plans.
- Provide transportation for appointments and shopping trips.
- Assist with meal preparation to ensure proper nutrition.
- Offer social support or respite to ease the burden on family carers.
- If qualified, provide personal care including showering and dressing assistance.
Requirements
- A strong commitment and passion for delivering high-quality care to elderly Australians living independently in the community.
- Comfortable engaging with a diverse group of clients.
- Effective communication skills and reliability as a team member.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety standards.
- Holding a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support is advantageous but not essential.
- Possession of a valid Australian driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle is mandatory.
Employment Details and Benefits
- Hourly pay rate ranging from $34.50 to $37.00 plus a 25% loading and superannuation contributions.
- Reimbursement for travel at $1.11 per kilometer along with paid travel time.
