About the Role

The Support Crew Member (SCM) Program by ECFT offers a unique chance for aspiring aviation professionals to gain practical experience and elite training using state-of-the-art aircraft simulators that require a minimum two-pilot crew. This program equips participants to provide essential support as the right seat for clients enrolled in FAA, EASA, and GCAA-certified courses conducted under 14 CFR Part 142 and EASA ATO standards at our training centers.

Program Objectives

  • Train and certify candidates to fulfill the Pilot Monitoring function during training events governed by FAA Part 61, 91, 135, EASA, and GCAA regulations.
  • Deliver formal Second-in-Command (SIC) simulator training for select aircraft models.
  • Grant free access to advanced training modules and enrichment courses led by CAE, an authority in aviation education.

Program Duration & Training Commitment

  • The program lasts two years.
  • Training costs, including type rating, are compensated through a predetermined number of support sessions conducted by the SCM participant.
  • These support sessions are scheduled quarterly, with specific minimum requirements each quarter.

Candidate Requirements

  • Hold a FAA Commercial Pilot License or Airline Transport Pilot License.
  • Possess an Airplane Multi-Engine Land rating.
  • Demonstrate strong communication abilities.
  • Have a minimum of 200 flight hours logged.
