Position Summary

The Supply Chain Manager is crucial in managing demand planning, inventory, distributor coordination, logistics, and warehouse operations for Vanity Group and La Bottega across the UK and Europe. This hands-on leadership role involves overseeing supplier relationships, tender management, freight forwarding, and the smooth execution of supply chain processes to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead demand planning by aligning historical orders and sales forecasts, maintain inventory levels across direct and distributor warehouses to balance customer service with stock efficiency.
• Coordinate with sales teams and chair monthly S&OP meetings for optimizing inventory and SKU management.
• Manage distributor operations, fostering strong partnerships to reduce risks such as stock shortages and excess, while monitoring performance and service standards.
• Oversee 3PL warehouse relationships, ensure key KPI compliance, resolve operational issues, conduct annual stock takes, and control logistics costing.
• Develop and maintain effective logistics networks including freight forwarders and delivery partners, negotiate shipping tenders, and continuously seek cost-effective transport solutions.
• Supervise Packing Room operations ensuring adequate stock and compliance with health and safety standards.
• Own supply chain systems like ERP and MRP, provide team training, and drive ongoing process improvements with frequent performance reporting.
• Lead and mentor a team of three direct reports, instilling process discipline, delivering executive updates, and maintaining operational documentation.
• Manage special projects such as warehouse transitions and EU stock integration to support strategic growth plans.

Candidate Profile

• At least eight years experience in supply chain management, ideally within high SKU environments.
• Proven expertise establishing supply chain and logistics structures, with command over forecasting and planning systems.
• Strong background managing 3PL warehouses and freight forwarders.
• Advanced capacity in leading teams and proficiency with Excel.
• Excellent communication skills able to engage stakeholders ranging from junior staff to senior directors.
• Sound knowledge of supply chain and logistics principles coupled with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset under pressure.
• Comfortable working independently and adapting to a fast-paced, rapidly scaling company environment.
