Role Overview
The Supply Chain Manager is tasked with overseeing and enhancing the entire supply chain process to guarantee seamless procurement, production, inventory oversight, logistics, and product distribution. The goal is to boost operational efficiency, reduce expenses, manage supplier partnerships, and assure timely product delivery while upholding superior quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Devise and execute supply chain strategies aligned with corporate goals and operational demands.
- Oversee full-spectrum supply chain functions including procurement, inventory management, production scheduling, logistics, storage, and delivery.
- Keep track of inventory and forecast demand to balance availability with minimizing surplus stock.
- Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, logistics firms, and internal departments to sustain an effective supply chain.
- Evaluate supply chain metrics to identify cost-saving, productivity, and service enhancement opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing structures, and service terms with suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor supplier performance via evaluations, audits, and continuous improvement programs.
- Coordinate cross-departmental efforts involving Procurement, Operations, Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, and Customer Support.
- Track key performance indicators and compile reports on inventory, logistics, procurement, and operational results.
- Recognize supply chain risks and devise mitigation strategies to prevent disruptions.
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies, industry standards, quality controls, and safety regulations.
- Lead initiatives to enhance processes using methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.
- Support digital transformation by adopting supply chain technologies and automation tools.
- Manage budgeting, resource planning, and operational oversight to meet organizational targets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, or operations management roles.
- Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain planning, inventory control, procurement processes, warehousing, and transportation management.
- Hands-on experience with ERP software such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with supply chain planning systems, warehouse management (WMS), or transportation management systems (TMS) is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities within a fast-moving environment.
- Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.
