Overview
Joining Walmart Canada as a Stock Unloader Associate offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience within a dynamic retail environment. You will play an essential role in ensuring smooth store operations by unloading deliveries, processing incoming merchandise, and transporting pallets to the sales floor while adhering to safety and cleanliness standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately selecting and assembling customer orders from various temperature-controlled zones, ensuring product integrity and timely delivery.
- Inspecting products to guarantee freshness and quality, removing any damaged or inappropriate items, and completing all necessary documentation such as pick slips and shipping labels with precision.
- Organizing packing efficiently to maximize space while maintaining safety measures and product standards.
- Contributing to positive customer experiences by balancing fulfillment duties with helpful and courteous customer interaction and assisting with issue resolution.
- Following safety protocols and food hygiene standards diligently, including cleaning spills promptly, verifying the cleanliness of totes before use, and safely operating equipment.
- Demonstrating flexibility regarding work shifts, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs.
Challenges
- Successfully managing high-volume tasks in a fast-paced setting, particularly during overnight shifts, by planning for energy maintenance and focus.
- Meeting physical demands such as prolonged standing, repetitive motions like stocking and organizing products, and safely lifting inventory up to 50 pounds.

Compensation
