About the Role
Joining Walmart Canada as a Stock Unloader Associate offers a valuable chance to gain practical experience in a fast-moving retail setting. This position is critical for the store's seamless operation, involving unloading delivery trailers, handling merchandise, transferring pallets onto the sales floor, and upholding a tidy and safe workspace. Key Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders carefully, managing products across various temperature zones to ensure timely delivery.
- Verify product selection accuracy, quantities, and codes when packing to maintain order quality.
- Ensure goods are fresh and undamaged, replacing any unsuitable items and completing all pertinent documentation such as pick slips and shipping labels.
- Organize packing efficiently to maximize space while preserving product safety and quality standards.
- Balance order fulfillment with positive customer interactions, offering assistance and resolving issues as needed.
- Adhere strictly to safety, food hygiene, and quality guidelines by maintaining a clean work area, cleaning spills promptly, and checking equipment safety regularly.
- Demonstrate flexibility by working varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business demands.
Challenges in the Role
- Manage a demanding workload efficiently in a fast-paced environment, including overnight shifts, to maintain energy and focus.
- Carry out physical tasks such as prolonged standing, bending, and lifting inventory weighing from 20 to sometimes 50 pounds.
- Perform repetitive tasks consistently, such as stocking and organizing products, ensuring store standards are upheld.

Compensation
The starting wage for this position is $18.40 per hour.
