Job description

Position Overview

As a Stock Unloader Associate at Walmart Canada located in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic retail environment. Your role is essential to the smooth functioning of the store by efficiently unloading shipments, processing received merchandise, and moving pallets to the sales floor while ensuring a safe and clean workspace.

Main Duties

  • Prepare and reset receiving areas and perform unloading of general merchandise trailers.
  • Adhere to cold chain standards for refrigerated and frozen products and transport merchandise pallets to the sales floor for overnight processing.
  • Assist with replenishing stock on the sales floor and deliver customer service support when required.
  • Organize and label overstock items appropriately to facilitate inventory management.
  • Follow company policies to maintain a hazard-free, safe, and tidy working environment, including conducting safety sweep logs and securing displays.
  • Be flexible to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per business demands.

Challenges to Anticipate

  • Manage high task volumes efficiently in a fast-moving environment, particularly during overnight shifts.
  • Maintain focus and energy throughout shifts through effective time and workload planning.
  • Perform physically demanding work involving standing for long periods, bending, and lifting merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Execute repetitive tasks such as stocking and organizing products consistently to meet store standards.

Compensation

This role starts at a minimum hourly wage of $15.50.
