About the Role
This opportunity involves working at the forefront where data itself is treated as the core product—integral to modern software storage, security, and delivery at immense scale. The company manages tens of millions of daily requests and handles petabytes of data monthly.
The role focuses on creating and refining the data platform infrastructure used for monitoring every system action, including package workflows, user activities, security decisions, billing, and usage information. This data directly powers product features.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and influence the architecture of the data platform.
- Develop high-throughput and highly reliable data pipelines.
- Collaborate closely with various teams such as security, product, and billing to ensure aligned data solutions.
- Address complex system-wide challenges beyond routine tasks.
- Elevate the standards of data utilization within the company.
- Build change data capture (CDC) pipelines ensuring complete data accuracy.
- Manage near real-time processing of billions of events.
- Redesign large-scale log and export mechanisms.
- Establish foundations to enable AI-driven analytics.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated expertise in data engineering at large scale environments.
- Experience working with distributed and event-driven architectures.
- Proficiency with AWS and modern tools such as Kafka or Kinesis, and Postgres.
- Advanced programming skills in Python and SQL.
- A strong appreciation for practical data application and system-oriented thinking.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and working without detailed upfront specifications.
