Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience developing and maintaining production software.
- Proficiency in backend development using Java (version 11 or higher) with Spring Boot and/or Node.js, including experience with microservices architecture.
- Frontend expertise with React and TypeScript, including server-side rendering/static site generation using Next.js, and familiarity with UI frameworks or design systems like ANZ’s Ocean Blue.
- Strong knowledge of APIs and integration, including REST (OpenAPI/Swagger), JSON, event-driven design patterns, and secure API development.
- Good command of SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server), including sound schema design and query performance optimization.
- Experience with version control tools such as Git using Bitbucket and/or GitHub.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Codefresh to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
- Cloud experience deploying applications on platforms like AWS (including EKS, Elasticache, Lambda, SQS, EC2) or equivalent.
- Practical skills in observability tools like Dynatrace and/or Splunk for logs, metrics, and alerting.
- Understanding of secure coding standards, secrets management, and fundamental Identity and Access Management concepts.
