About the Role

This opportunity is offered by a partner company operating in New Zealand, seeking an experienced Software Craftsperson skilled in Node.js, React.js, and AI technologies. This position allows you to engage remotely, focusing on crafting scalable, high-quality software systems with a modern, AI-enhanced development environment.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and sustain full-stack applications using Node.js, React.js, and AI-driven development tools to ensure scalable solutions.
Adopt and practice software craftsmanship approaches such as test-driven development, clean code standards, refactoring, and continuous integration/delivery.
Own feature development end-to-end, spanning front-end, back-end services, infrastructure, and deployment workflows.
Engage in pair programming, code reviews, and team collaboration to elevate engineering standards continually.
Work closely with product teams to understand challenges, devise solutions, and implement impactful features.
Participate in a culture that values continuous learning, technical experimentation, and excellence.

Requirements

Minimum 18 months of experience in full-stack software development with practical involvement in production-ready projects.
Strong proficiency in Node.js, React.js, and incorporating AI into development processes.
Good grasp of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Extreme Programming within continuous deployment settings.
Experience with test-driven development, continuous integration/delivery tools, web frameworks, relational databases, and performance tuning.
Knowledge of server setup, deployment environments, version control systems, and issue tracking tools.
Ability to write clear technical documentation, analyze problems independently, and communicate efficiently.
High ownership mentality, intellectual curiosity, and dedication to software quality.
Product-oriented mindset with sensitivity to customer needs and capacity to contribute beyond assigned tasks.
Comfortable working remotely with collaborative coordination during Pacific Standard Time hours.
