Role Overview

We are searching for a highly experienced and driven Software Architect to join our Architecture team. This role involves leading the design and architectural direction of our cloud platform utilizing cutting-edge technology and methodologies. Collaboration with Product and Engineering teams is essential to align implementations with architectural standards, delivering scalable enterprise-grade solutions. You will have a strong grasp of technological risks and non-functional requirements and embody excellent communication, teamwork, and proactive problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to define roadmap and technical designs.
• Drive implementation of a secure, scalable, cost-effective, reliable, and high-performing cloud platform.
• Establish and uphold software architecture principles and best practices.
• Lead the creation of scalable and secure software solutions.
• Clearly communicate non-functional requirements and architectural designs both verbally and in writing.
• Spot and mitigate strategic technical debt.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure adherence to architecture and design standards.
• Assess and recommend technologies, tools, and procedures to maintain top-quality platform products.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
• Contribute directly to core platform components and templates development.
• Keep updated with technological innovations to enhance the platform continuously.
• Work with Architecture, DevOps, and Platform Engineering to automate deployments, enforce governance, and guarantee compliance with regulations.
• Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with all relevant standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years of professional development experience.
• Over 3 years serving in a Software, Technical, or Solution Architecture capacity.
• Strong expertise in cloud-native architecture and design patterns.
• Hands-on experience designing and building distributed enterprise systems that scale for high traffic.
• Exceptional attention to detail and willingness to tackle complex technical challenges.
• Proficient in the Microsoft technology stack including .NET (C#), Web API, Azure services (Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, Application Insights, Key Vault, Azure Front Door, etc.), and Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform features such as GKE, Postgres, and Cloud Functions.
• Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks like Angular and React.
• Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle with experience in Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
• Experience with Event-Driven Architecture, Microservices, and Kafka technology.
• Exposure to container technologies including Kubernetes and Docker.
• Microsoft Azure or .NET certifications are a plus.
• Experience with AI-assisted design and coding tools such as Co-Pilot.
• Keen interest in AI technologies and their application to accelerate delivery and business value.
• Strong intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn.
• Excellent communication, documentation, design abilities, and stakeholder management skills.
