Site Reliability Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Site Reliability Engineer to become an integral part of our expanding team. You will work closely with platform teams to grasp system intricacies and identify areas for operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with platform teams to analyze system complexity and pinpoint operational gaps.
• Contribute to designing highly available, resilient infrastructure solutions.
• Deploy and enhance monitoring and observability tools across infrastructure and services, utilizing technologies such as OpenTelemetry and Elastic Cloud.
• Work together with the central Observability Platform and Application Operation groups to establish best practices around security, scalability, reliability, and observability.
• Introduce innovative technologies and concepts aimed at boosting platform performance, accompanied by thorough documentation and training resources.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations and manage incident response processes.
• Adopt a customer (developer) mindset to enhance observability and operational workflows across the entire platform.

Requirements

• University degree in Engineering or Business Informatics.
• At least three years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or IT Operations.
• Hands-on experience with logging and monitoring systems such as OpenTelemetry and Elastic Cloud.
• Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Python, Shell, Java, or .NET.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform and container platforms such as Azure and GCP.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to address the needs of diverse stakeholders and convey technical solutions effectively.
• Ability to make swift and responsible decisions that have a significant impact.
• Experience working with Kubernetes and networking concepts.
• Proficient in Business English.
