Site Engineer

About the Role

Comer Group Ireland is seeking a skilled Engineer specializing in residential construction with expertise in brickwork facades to join their on-site delivery team. The candidate will be responsible for managing tasks independently and efficiently coordinating facade works with precision and attention to dimensional accuracy.

Key Requirements

• At least four years of engineering experience on-site with an Irish contractor.
• Proven experience handling brickwork facades on large-scale projects.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and setting out processes.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills, requiring a minimum of C1 proficiency.

Primary Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of building facade works, including SFS inner leaf, cement board, insulation, cavity barriers, ventilation grills, balcony stubs, and brickwork finishes.
• Collaborate closely with setting out engineers to verify facade set-out accuracy within acceptable tolerances.
• Oversee production and verification of concrete frame as-built surveys conducted by setting out engineers.
• Manage the setting out and construction sequencing of facade works to ensure proper workflow.
• Assist in programming the facade work package and coordinate with the project manager to schedule material deliveries.
• Ensure all materials and workmanship comply strictly with project specifications.
• Review and provide feedback on detailed design development.
• Identify and escalate technical design issues promptly.
• Resolve technical and construction-related problems encountered onsite.
• Participate actively in site meetings and contribute to an efficient construction environment.
