Job description
Overview
Ankabut, UAE’s National Research & Education Network, seeks a seasoned Service Governance Specialist to join its Governance, Risk & Compliance division. This pivotal role focuses on establishing and refining the IT Service Governance Framework to ensure reliable, compliant, and high-quality IT service delivery across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, govern, and enhance IT Service Management (ITSM) methodologies in line with ITIL 4, ISO 20000, and COBIT standards.
- Oversee monitoring and management of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Operational Level Agreements (OLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and other service metrics.
- Lead Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) activities and uphold service quality assurance.
- Prepare governance reports and ensure readiness for audits and compliance measures.
- Manage service catalog, Configuration Management Database (CMDB), knowledge repositories, and incident, change, and problem management processes.
- Evaluate vendor performance to ensure contractual service levels are met.
- Contribute to enterprise risk management efforts and maintain compliance with IT General Controls (ITGC).
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- ITIL 4 Foundation Certification mandatory; Managing Professional or Strategic Leader certifications are advantageous.
- ISO/IEC 20000 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor certification is required.
- Familiarity with ISO 27001, ISO 22301, and COBIT 2019 frameworks.
- Hands-on experience using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, ManageEngine, or Freshworks.
- For UAE Nationals: Minimum of 8 years in IT Service Management, Service Governance, or IT Governance, Risk & Compliance roles.
- For expatriates: At least 10 years of relevant experience coupled with a proven history in deploying and managing ITSM frameworks within enterprises.
