Service Advisor

Role Overview

Tesla is looking for a Service Advisor to support a highly innovative vehicle brand and help deliver a strong customer experience in the service environment. The position involves regular interaction with customers and internal teams, along with a need to grow technical knowledge related to vehicle servicing. The right candidate will care deeply about customer service and be motivated by Tesla’s mission to accelerate the shift to sustainable energy and advanced EV technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers professionally, respond quickly to questions or concerns, and take full ownership of the service visit experience.
• Review vehicle-related concerns, translate service needs into clear language, and provide guidance by phone whenever possible.
• Listen carefully, ask the right follow-up questions to diagnose concerns accurately, and involve the Service Manager when escalation is needed.
• Work closely with technicians and keep service records updated in the Dealer Management System with a high level of accuracy.
• Handle transactions, walk customers through corrections where needed, and clearly explain the work completed on their vehicle.
• Manage several appointments and priorities at once, maintain organized documentation, send timely status updates, and ensure strong follow-through.
• Create confidence and loyalty by handling difficult situations with patience, empathy, and a solutions-focused approach.

Skills and Qualifications

• Working knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair processes, including tools, materials, and repair techniques.
• Strong verbal communication skills for sharing estimates, updates, and technical details in a customer-friendly way.
• Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving ability, with the judgment to work through issues quickly with the service team.
• Patience and empathy when dealing with complex repair concerns or sensitive customer situations.
• Excellent organization and time management to keep records accurate and meet important deadlines.
• Comfort using Dealer Management Systems, Outlook, and MS Office, plus an eagerness to learn new automotive technologies.
• Valid driver’s license.
