Senior SOC Analyst

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to become an integral member of our Cybersecurity Operations Center. This position demands active involvement in security event monitoring, thorough investigation, and rapid response to emerging cyber threats. Additionally, the role includes mentoring less experienced analysts and enhancing detection systems.

Key Duties

• Continuously monitor and interpret security alerts using SIEM and other security platforms.
• Conduct detailed investigations into security incidents and lead coordinated response efforts.
• Manage incident probes to identify root causes and systemic vulnerabilities.
• Engage in proactive threat hunting and perform detailed malware analysis.
• Create and fine-tune SIEM detection rules and case scenarios to elevate threat detection effectiveness.
• Evaluate and refine SOC procedural playbooks and operational workflows.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior SOC analysts, fostering knowledge dissemination.
• Generate comprehensive incident reports and effectively communicate critical insights to relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams aiming to strengthen protective controls.
• Maintain awareness of the latest cyber threat landscape, attack methodologies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline is required.
• Between four to seven years’ practical experience within a SOC environment.
• Hands-on proficiency with SIEM technologies like Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or IBM QRadar.
• Deep understanding of incident response, threat hunting, endpoint protection, and network defense strategies.
• Knowledge of frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, the Cyber Kill Chain, and threat intelligence methodologies.
• Preferred certifications: CySA+, GCIH, GCIA, SC-200, CEH, or CISSP.
