Team Overview
The Security Operations Team encompasses security infrastructure, guard operations, and crisis management. The team is dedicated to proactive risk mitigation and fostering a resilient security culture to support innovation and operational confidence.
Role Summary
We are looking for a Senior Program Manager to lead and develop enterprise physical security strategy across a growing network of sites. This position requires shaping security posture company-wide, ensuring alignment with global standards, and collaborating with senior leaders and stakeholders to navigate evolving threats, compliance mandates, and operational needs in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and refinement of physical security strategies across multiple locations aligned with company objectives and global security standards.
- Influence and establish scalable security best practices and standards operative across diverse regional sites.
- Create, implement, and regularly update enterprise physical security policies, SOPs, post orders, and governance frameworks ensuring compliance, clarity, and enforcement.
- Collaborate with Government Security, Legal, and Trade Compliance teams to support Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and ITAR safeguards, drafting Technology Control Plans and ensuring their effective management.
- Plan and execute physical security vulnerability assessments to pinpoint risks, propose mitigation actions, and oversee the remediation lifecycle including capital investment suggestions.
- Oversee contract guard force program management including agreements, KPIs, SLAs, vendor accountability, training standards, and cost management across all sites.
- Manage budgeting and financial aspects of physical security operations, including OpEx and CapEx planning, forecasting, invoice handling, and cost optimization aligned with corporate finance policies.
- Develop measurable KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics, utilizing reports and dashboards to enhance accountability, reporting, and continuous program improvement.
- Lead complex security initiatives addressing technical challenges, emerging threats, and balancing operational priorities with strategic business goals.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations including DoD, DCSA, NISPOM, ITAR, CUI, and OSHA requirements.
- Act as a trusted security advisor to senior leadership contributing to significant cross-functional projects and strategic security decisions.
- Use proactive and strategic analysis to anticipate future security challenges and risks, positioning the company ahead of evolving threats.
- Work closely with multiple departments including Facilities, IT, Legal, HR, Environment, Health & Safety, Finance, Procurement, and Government Security to develop integrated security approaches.
Required Qualifications
- Over 12 years of progressive experience in physical security or related security operations, including multi-site or critical infrastructure environments.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven expertise in physical security operations, regulatory compliance, and governance at an enterprise scale.
- Successful track record of developing and implementing enterprise-level physical security strategies and policies.
- Strong knowledge of CUI and ITAR regulatory requirements including Technology Control Plans.
- Experience performing physical security vulnerability assessments and managing mitigation processes.
- Extensive experience overseeing contract guard services, including vendor and performance management.
- Competence in managing physical security program budgets with financial reporting and planning experience.
- Analytical skills with demonstrated ability to develop and monitor key performance metrics.
- Excellent communication and influencing capabilities with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active U.S. Government Security Clearance (Secret or higher).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional) or PSP (Physical Security Professional).
- Experience in defense, aerospace, or other highly regulated sectors.
- Comprehensive understanding of NISPOM, DCSA, ITAR, EAR, CUI, and DoD physical security standards.
- Skill in developing business cases, ROI models, and long-term capital plans for security programs.
- Background in establishing or scaling security programs for new or expanding operations.
Compensation and Benefits
This full-time role in Washington, DC offers a salary range estimated between USD 166,000 and USD 220,000 annually. Salary offers depend on experience, education, skills, and business needs.
