Overview
The Senior Manager (Projects) is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of all projects, exhibitions, and various activities aligned with STPI's mission to broaden access to contemporary art through print and paper mediums.
Project Management
- Lead and oversee projects catering to diverse audiences including fundraisers, Open House events, and partnerships.
- Handle administrative and financial paperwork for appointing and managing external vendors and stakeholders, including negotiating costs, monitoring progress, and guaranteeing quality output related to logistics and operations.
- Strategically manage and forecast budget allocations for each project.
- Collaborate with the Director to manage proposal writing and submission processes, particularly for engagements with government agencies.
- Prepare and analyze reports for internal assessments and submissions to external collaborators and governmental bodies.
- Maintain consistent and timely communication with key stakeholders.
- Identify areas for improvement in logistics and operational workflows to enhance future projects and foster potential partnerships.
- Support the Outreach team in organizing Open House events, public programs, and related activities.
Exhibition Management
- Assist the Director in exhibition planning including timeline and budget oversight, coordination with external vendors and internal teams to ensure timely and effective delivery of exhibitions.
- Support execution of exhibitions and related events, including previews and talks.
Team Leadership
- Manage and encourage the development and performance of junior team members.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Events Management, or Arts Management.
- A minimum of 10 to 12 years’ experience in events or projects management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with Singapore’s visual arts scene is considered an asset.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain a positive attitude.
- Capacity to multitask and perform well under pressure.
