Role Overview

The Senior Manager will serve as the Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Regional Lead for the Asia-Pacific region, focusing on the management and enhancement of EH&S systems within Pratt & Whitney's APAC operations. This position is ideal for a detail-focused, organized professional passionate about promoting EH&S excellence through structured data management, collaboration, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Drive a robust culture of EH&S excellence providing top-notch support to all regional sites.
• Develop and deliver leadership training and improve processes for the region.
• Maintain strong partnerships with site leadership and staff to influence strategic initiatives and ensure effective site execution.
• Cascade EH&S policy updates, improvement targets, and strategic direction to APAC leadership, General Managers, EH&S Managers, and councils.
• Provide strategic guidance, leadership, and technical support to elevate EH&S programs and ensure compliance with local, national, and RTX-specific EH&S regulations.
• Assist sites with implementation of RTX's EH&S management system including data management, reporting, annual planning, and training.
• Lead EH&S onboarding for new or relocated General Managers and EH&S practitioners.
• Support and participate in incident investigations, regulatory compliance, historic incident review, root cause validation, and preventive measures.
• Establish regular communications with site EH&S managers and share best practices across the region and the broader company network.
• Manage staffing and professional development for EH&S personnel including assisting hiring and supporting career progression and performance review processes.
• Travel approximately 50% across sites to perform site visits and provide hands-on leadership support.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Health & Safety, or a closely related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years professional experience in environmental health and safety roles.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification required.
• Prior exposure in industrial manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Preference given to candidates based in Singapore.
• Strong leadership skills with proven ability to influence multiple management levels and act as a catalyst for change.
• Excellent interpersonal and social skills.
• Self-directed problem solver dedicated to proactively addressing challenges.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus to facilitate communication with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
