Senior Estimation Engineer – Mechanical

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Mechanical Estimation Engineer to take ownership of tendering and pricing activities for major construction projects. The right candidate should bring deep MEP contracting experience and the confidence to handle the full estimation cycle independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop precise mechanical cost estimates and compile tender submissions for MEP assignments.
• Run the complete bidding process from start to finish, including quantity surveying and estimation work.
• Examine tender packages, drawings, technical specifications, and BOQs to understand project scope and needs.
• Build detailed cost breakdowns, material take-offs, and pricing evaluations.
• Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing offers.
• Perform cost reviews, value engineering studies, and project risk assessments.
• Deliver polished, compliant, and competitive bids within required timelines.
• Work closely with internal teams to support tender compilation and smooth project handover.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• MMUP Grade A certification is mandatory.
• QCDD certification is mandatory.
• 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in an MEP contracting firm, preferably in Estimation Engineer or Senior Estimation Engineer roles.
• Hands-on experience preparing tenders for large-scale developments such as hospitality projects, airports, high-rise towers, and industrial facilities.
• Solid understanding of mechanical estimation, quantity surveying, and tendering processes.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD, and Candy.
• Strong analytical ability, commercial awareness, and communication skills.
• Must be able to work independently and manage several tenders under demanding deadlines.
