Job description

About NetApp and Role Overview

NetApp leads in intelligent data infrastructure, providing unified storage and integrated data services that enable organizations to maximize data potential across AI and multicloud environments. We are striving toward a $10B vision by fostering innovation through passionate teams focused on real-world impact.

As the Senior Director of EMEA Professional Services, you will helm NetApp’s services operations in the region overseeing strategy, execution, and financial results for a portfolio exceeding $100 million. Reporting directly to the VP/GM, you will manage over 150 professionals, accelerating the evolution to a services-driven, outcome-oriented model that enhances fee-based consulting, engages customers early for strategic influence, and drives profitable growth via increased attach and pull-through rates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the EMEA Professional Services division, owning business strategy, execution, and operational rhythm to ensure growth in bookings, revenues, and profitability.
  • Expand consulting and advisory services that engage clients ahead of product decisions to define vision, boost adoption, and create measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with EMEA Sales and Solutions Engineering leaders to develop services pipelines, design repeatable plays, and increase attach rates tied to outcome-focused services.
  • Refine the services portfolio by defining offers, packaging, pricing, and value propositions to reduce dependence on free or presales activities and low-value add-on services.
  • Lead a geographically dispersed team of leaders, consultants, and delivery staff, fostering a culture of high performance, inclusivity, coaching, and succession planning.
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery through standardized methods, governance, and risk mitigation, improving utilization, project outcomes, and customer satisfaction.
  • Optimize operational models across local delivery, partner channels, and global delivery centers by streamlining processes and driving productivity enhancements.
  • Direct executive discovery and advisory engagements aimed at defining roadmaps, building value cases, and converting discussions into funded consulting initiatives that enhance attach and pull-through metrics.
  • Represent Professional Services at senior levels in strategic account planning, executive briefings, and key customer and partner engagements.
  • Coordinate with Worldwide Professional Services, Portfolio, and Operations teams to implement best practices and drive continuous improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • Over 15 years of progressive leadership experience within Professional Services, Consulting, or Managed Services in enterprise technology sectors such as hybrid cloud, storage, data management, security, or automation.
  • Proven track record managing services P&L including bookings, revenue recognition, margin control, and cost management.
  • Strong background in building and scaling fee-based consulting and advisory solutions while influencing executive decision makers.
  • Established partnership skills with field sales teams to develop pipelines, implement services-led sales plays, and deliver predictable commercial results.
  • Experience guiding consulting and transformation engagements including executive discovery, roadmap generation, and fostering value realization.
  • Demonstrable capability in consultative selling, proposal development, and articulating ROI and value propositions in collaboration with sales.
  • Expertise leading large, multi-location teams in a global matrix environment while managing senior leaders.
  • Superior communication, negotiation, and leadership skills with executive stakeholders and customers.
  • Strong operational expertise encompassing forecasting, governance, quality assurance, risk management, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable operating with partners and global delivery centers to broaden capacity and standardize delivery practices.
