Security Officer

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned and disciplined Security Officer to manage security activities for the organization. This position is best suited to a retired professional from the Indian Armed Forces or Central Armed Police Forces who brings strong leadership, risk evaluation, and incident-handling experience. The role focuses on building and maintaining a secure environment through careful planning, team oversight, and consistent compliance with safety procedures.

Eligibility

This opportunity is open to retired personnel from the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, Indian Navy, CISF, BSF, SSB, or CRPF.

Applicants should have completed at least 10 years of service in the relevant force.

Skills and Qualifications

• Background as a retired officer or personnel from one of the listed defence or paramilitary forces.
• Minimum service length of 10+ years in the respective organization.
• Solid understanding of security processes, monitoring systems, and entry/exit control.
• Practical experience in emergency handling, incident review, and crisis response.
• Strong ability to lead teams and manage day-to-day operations.
• Sharp judgment, attention to detail, and sound problem-solving ability.
• Effective spoken and written communication skills.
• Comfort with basic computer work, including MS Office and report writing.
• Good physical fitness and readiness to act during urgent situations.
• Willingness to work in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily security activities across the assigned facility or premises.
• Implement and enforce security rules, procedures, and access restrictions.
• Keep watch over CCTV and other surveillance tools, and carry out routine checks and patrols.
• Investigate security-related incidents and document findings in detailed reports.
• React quickly to emergencies, unsafe conditions, and breaches of security.
• Direct and support security staff to maintain discipline and efficient operations.
• Liaise with police or emergency responders whenever support is needed.
• Assess risks and suggest measures to strengthen site protection.
• Maintain compliance with internal safety requirements and applicable regulations.
• Keep security records, logs, and reports accurate and up to date.
• Support management with security planning, emergency response preparation, and evacuation planning.
• Help maintain a safe, orderly, and professional environment for staff, visitors, and company property.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a competitive market-linked salary based on experience, with an annual package in the range of INR 5,00,000 to INR 6,50,000.
