About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance personalized recommendation algorithms integrated within the search experience, including semantic search and query-based product suggestions.
• Build sophisticated deep learning models combining real-time user query intent and historical user behavior data to deliver highly customized ranking results.
• Design scalable, low-latency multi-stage retrieval and ranking systems aimed at increasing conversion rates, click-through rates, and overall relevance.
• Incorporate state-of-the-art artificial intelligence techniques to augment search discovery functionalities.
• Create robust experimentation methodologies to rigorously validate and deploy algorithms effectively in production environments.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is mandatory.
• Minimum of seven years professional experience demonstrating success in large-scale e-commerce search, information retrieval, or recommendation system development.
• Expertise in semantic search mechanisms, vector embeddings, Learning-to-Rank approaches, and natural language processing frameworks.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, and C++ alongside modern machine learning frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Experience working with distributed data processing technologies like Spark, vector databases, and search engines including Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.
