Retail Sales Executive

Job Overview

GBD Eduventures is seeking a Retail Sales Executive to join their bookstore team in Guwahati, Assam. This role requires assisting customers in finding books, managing sales transactions, organizing inventory, and maintaining store cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers in locating desired books promptly and effectively.
• Process sales transactions using a computer, accepting payment through cash, UPI, or card.
• Package books and parcels carefully for customers.
• Systematically arrange books on shelves sorted by class or category.
• Receive incoming stock shipments and verify them against delivery challans.
• Notify the manager about books that are running low in stock.
• Maintain cleanliness of the shop and counter area to ensure a welcoming environment.

Candidate Requirements

• High School pass certificate (HS pass) is mandatory.
• Proficiency in speaking Assamese and Hindi languages.
• Basic computer skills including knowledge of UPI payment processes.
• Fresh graduates or individuals without prior experience are encouraged to apply.

Compensation

The monthly salary for this position ranges from INR 12,000 to INR 13,000.
