Role Overview

The Resident Content Creator role is embedded within the team, responsible for the entire content creation process from pre-production to post-production. While the Head of Marketing directs the strategy and calendar, this role controls the storytelling aspect: deciding what to capture, how to shape it, and ensuring it attracts attention.

The primary goal is to generate ideas that fuel a content engine, ultimately achieving a weekly reach of 250,000 across both Liberty Horizons and The Wise Investor brands. This role demands ownership over story development, content capture, and end-to-end editing with a director-level mindset.

First 90 Days Plan

Days 1-30: Understand brand identity, audience, tone, team, and prior content; shadow leadership on shoots; set up production workflow; complete onboarding.
Days 31-60: Independently manage full content production cycles; launch a recurring documentary series; maintain an ample footage backlog; identify workflow improvements.
Days 61-90: Deliver consistent, on-brand content weekly; contribute visibly to reaching audience goals; release at least one mini-documentary or long-form feature; plan development goals.

Responsibilities

Pre-production: Maintain storyline coherence by planning shoots in advance; develop recurring series and mini-documentaries; organize shoot logistics and prepare talent.
Production: Act as embedded documentarian capturing real-time and planned footage; ensure quality in image, lighting, and audio; collaborate with marketing and art teams during larger productions.
Post-production: Edit short- and long-form videos with attention to hooks, pacing, captions, and sound; deliver content rapidly and maintain an organized media library; target output of 8-12 short videos weekly and one longer piece monthly.
Content Strategy: Create compelling recurring formats and character stories; implement the 70/20/10 content mix balancing reach, story, culture, and offers; differentiate brand voices between Liberty Horizons and The Wise Investor; participate in performance reviews to refine strategy.

Qualifications

Experience with AI-based content generation platforms (e.g., Canva, Higgs field, Claude).
Preferred: Motion graphic, sound design, long-form editing, podcast capture experience, familiarity with financial/services content, or exposure to venture-backed brands.

Annual base salary between 70000 and 90000 CAD plus performance bonuses.
