About Victor Energy
Victor Energy, part of the Java Group, brings over five decades of expertise driving some of Canada's largest electrical infrastructure projects. As their project portfolio expands, they are seeking a Quality Coordinator (Site) to oversee quality initiatives and ensure compliance with project specifics, client demands, applicable codes, and the company’s Quality Management System. This role is based onsite and requires close collaboration with construction teams, project management, clients, and quality leadership to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute quality assurance and control measures at the project site.
- Manage and implement project QA/QC activities aligned with the Project Quality Plan, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and client stipulations.
- Oversee and maintain project quality documents ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of any deficiencies.
- Conduct inspections related to foundations, grounding, structure erection, conductor installation, and material receipt.
- Document all inspections with completed check sheets, photographic evidence, and quality reports complying with project requirements.
- Ensure adherence to the Company Quality Manual, Project Quality Plans, ITPs, and client standards.
- Collaborate with quality team members to satisfy Contract, Client Standards, Provincial and Federal Regulations, and Construction Codes.
- Coordinate with materials management to confirm inspections of received materials, ensuring traceability, certification, proper storage, and conformity with project standards.
- Identify and report material issues such as missing or damaged items to the relevant team.
- Prepare Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and track deficiencies and corrective actions through to resolution.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum five years of experience in the construction of foundations, transmission, distribution, or substations.
- Preferred background in utility or foundation construction.
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and apply Codes, Standards, Specifications, and Drawings.

- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, with adaptability to new software platforms.
