QA/QC Architecture Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a meticulous QA/QC Architecture Engineer to verify that all architectural tasks are carried out according to project specifications, approved plans, quality standards, and relevant codes. The engineer will perform thorough inspections, oversee construction activities, organize quality documentation, and collaborate closely with project parties to uphold superior quality standards throughout the entire project duration.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of architectural work to validate adherence to approved drawings and quality standards.
• Review architectural and shop drawings, as well as material submissions and implementation methods.
• Create and apply Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and quality control procedures.
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate these with consultants and clients.
• Identify, track, and resolve Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring corrective actions are applied.
• Evaluate and approve Inspection Requests (IRs) prior to consultant submission.
• Confirm construction materials meet approved project specifications and submittals.
• Supervise architectural finishing activities such as blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, tiling, ceilings, painting, doors, windows, and flooring.
• Maintain detailed documentation of quality assurance/control records, inspection data, test results, and logs.
• Work collaboratively with project management, site engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to address quality issues.
• Enforce adherence to company QA/QC protocols, contract terms, and building codes.
• Participate in both internal and external quality audits.
• Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
• At least one year of experience in architectural engineering or QA/QC for architecture.
• Experience with building construction and finishing tasks.
• Sound understanding of QA/QC processes, inspection routines, and quality documentation standards.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with IRs, ITPs, method statements, MIRs, and NCRs.
• Knowledge of applicable building regulatory codes and quality management systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and document management tools.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience engaging with contractors or consultants on construction projects.
• Expertise in QA/QC and site inspections.
• Knowledge of architectural finishing processes and construction quality management.
• Ability to generate technical reports and maintain document control.
• High attention to detail, time management skills, and effective teamwork.
