Position Overview

We are searching for a skilled Backend Software Engineer to become part of a collaborative engineering group focused on delivering scalable, enterprise-level software solutions. This role caters to developers who take pleasure in creating robust backend services and collaborating with cross-functional teams in an agile setting.

Depending on your expertise, you may take ownership of major technical components, influence architectural decisions, and guide the development of intricate software platforms.

Key Duties

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and API services.
• Contribute towards delivering scalable, secure, and high-quality software products.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and other stakeholders to execute technical projects.
• Produce clear, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code in line with engineering standards.
• Engage in code reviews and foster continuous development improvements within the team.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of four years’ experience in commercial software engineering roles.
• Proficiency in backend development using Python along with at least one modern framework such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
• Experience supporting and building production applications in team environments.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems design.
• Expertise in SQL and relational databases, with some familiarity with NoSQL database technologies.
• Capable of independently developing and delivering moderately complex software components.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and dedication to high-quality code delivery.
• Effective communicator with proven teamwork abilities.

Preferred Experience

• Background in distributed systems or service-oriented architecture.
• Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and current CI/CD methodologies.
• Understanding of software best practices including testing, automation, and code quality assurance.

Additional Advantageous Skills

• Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
• Knowledge of graph databases such as Neo4j or TigerGraph.
• Exposure to TypeScript and frontend frameworks including React or Angular.
• Experience working in data-centric or metadata-driven environments.
• Awareness of AI-assisted development tools and their responsible use in software engineering.
