Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will manage buying and vendor coordination to keep store inventory balanced and commercially effective.

• Prepare and maintain vendor schedules.
• Review reports on fast-moving, slow-moving, and no-sale SKUs, then place purchase orders to maintain availability and use store space efficiently.
• Carry out store floor checks with operations teams to confirm stock availability, product visibility, timely replenishment, correct displays, and accurate price boards.
• Exchange information with store staff so execution happens smoothly.
• Negotiate schemes, offers, discounts, and debit terms with vendors before placing orders.
• Set selling prices as required.
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to secure dependable service and timely updates.
• Negotiate promoter placements, monitor daily attendance, and share instructions for smooth store operations.
• Take part in weekly promoter briefing sessions.
• Coordinate with company representatives to address customer complaints and follow up until issues are resolved.
• Benchmark pricing, product display, and assortment against nearby stores at least once a week.
• Work with head office teams to finalize OL and OQ.
• Track and follow up on PNM so vendor payments are released on time.
• Share updates with operations teams to help control pilferage by comparing system stock with floor and warehouse stock.
• Plan dispatches and maintain vendor schedules to support smooth stock counts.
• Keep registers updated to meet process audit requirements.
