Job Summary

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) role at Agsar Paints Private Limited in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu involves comprehensive responsibilities related to HR administration, statutory compliance, employee data management, and coordination with governmental agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, update, and organize employee master data along with attendance, leave, and personal records.
  • Draft and issue employment-related documents such as offer letters, appointment orders, confirmations, transfers, and resignation letters.
  • Manage employee service histories and statutory registers to ensure compliance.
  • Facilitate recruitment efforts including job postings, interview scheduling, and onboarding processes.
  • Oversee employee induction processes, training record maintenance, and documentation for performance reviews.
  • Assist in payroll by preparing attendance summaries and recording overtime.
  • Prepare and file monthly and annual returns related to Provident Fund (PF) and Employees' State Insurance (ESI).
  • Handle renewals for Factory Licenses, Establishment registrations, and Registrar of Companies (ROC) filings.
  • Maintain all statutory registers as per the Factories Act and Labour laws and coordinate audits and inspections with government officials and consultants.
  • Update records related to Bonus, Gratuity, Leave entitlements, and compliance with Minimum Wages.
  • Contribute to the preparation of HR audit documents and internal compliance reports.
  • Manage vehicle-related administration including maintenance, insurance, fuel records, and driver scheduling.
  • Support safety initiatives such as fire drills and first aid arrangements.
  • Maintain regular HR and administrative reports on daily, weekly, and monthly bases.
  • Ensure timely renewal of contracts, licenses, and insurance policies before expiration.
  • Liaise with the accounts department for timely processing of HR-related payments and reimbursements.
  • Assist in compiling data for management reporting and external audit processes.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline preferred, with emphasis on BBA, B.Com, HR, or Administration.
  • Between 5 to 10 years of experience in HR, personnel management, or factory administration.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory compliances including PF, ESI, the Factory Act, and other labor regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and effective HR documentation practices.
  • Excellent coordination, record maintenance, and communication abilities.
  • Capability to multitask and meet strict compliance deadlines accurately.
  • Attention to detail, maintaining confidentiality and fostering teamwork.
