Role and Responsibilities
- The Project Manager acts as the sole accountable leader for high-priority industrial AI projects from contract initiation through delivery and value realization.
- Ensures projects align tightly with clients' strategic priorities, generating measurable business outcomes.
- Oversees complete project delivery including scope, timeline, budget, quality, and customer results to guarantee success and financial viability.
- Converts use case goals into measurable business KPIs, leading workshops to establish baselines and validate impact.
- Creates comprehensive project plans incorporating scope, schedule, resources, budget, risks, and quality, while proactively managing dependencies and obstacles.
- Manages complex integrations of operational technology and IT data using agile methodologies and frequent stakeholder involvement.
- Communicates project progress to key stakeholders frequently, aligning projects with strategic goals like operational excellence, safety, sustainability, or cost savings.
- Liaises with account executives, customer business executives, and internal teams to maintain transparency on status, risks, and fiscal performance.
- Collaborates closely with product teams to ensure deliverables meet contractual agreements and escalates issues through established governance.
- Manages project financials including bookings, revenue recognition, cost control, margin analysis, and forecasting with clear reporting.
- Serves as primary customer contact during execution, managing governance, steering committees, and executive communications.
- Ensures customer satisfaction, maintains vendor partnerships, and oversees documentation of processes.
- Leads change management activities such as training and adoption support alongside customer business executives.
- Acts as a vital interface between clients and internal teams (Engineering, Product, Customer Success) throughout project lifecycles, addressing risks and resolution.
- Identifies expansion opportunities by understanding client challenges and coordinates with relevant Cognite stakeholders.
- Utilizes Cognite PMO playbooks and contributes to ongoing process enhancement by sharing lessons learned.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience in SaaS, cloud, or enterprise software implementations with complex industrial or enterprise-level IT/AI projects.
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects and leading cross-functional teams (Data Scientists, Engineers, Solution Architects).
- Competence in the SaaS implementation lifecycle including onboarding, training, and change management.
- Strong understanding of industrial sectors such as Energy, Manufacturing, Chemicals, Oil & Gas, Life Sciences, Utilities, Power, and Renewables.
- Solid financial skills to oversee project tracking, forecasting, and revenue recognition.
- Practical knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and PMO frameworks like PMP or PRINCE2 for efficient delivery and risk management.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in tools including Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or Smartsheet.
- Fluency in English and German is essential.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% to engage with clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum are desirable.
- Familiarity with data platforms, cloud services (Azure, AWS), or industrial IoT technologies.
- Experience in data engineering, analytics, AI, or machine learning projects is advantageous.
