About the Role
Sterling Project Management Consultancy (Sterling PMC), servicing clients across the UAE, is seeking a Project Manager to join its expanding Abu Dhabi team. This is a client-side position focused on acting as the Employer's Representative throughout a multi-tower residential development on Al Reem Island, ensuring the client's interests are safeguarded from inception to handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations on active residential projects, managing the performance of the main contractor and consultants.
- Lead progress meetings, document minutes, and ensure timely resolution of action items.
- Critically assess contractor schedules, progress claims, change orders, and extension of time requests alongside planning and commercial teams.
- Issue formal contractual communications under FIDIC and provide advisory on client entitlements and risks.
- Supervise site quality, health, safety, and workmanship standards; manage snagging and project handover processes.
- Coordinate with Abu Dhabi authorities to secure required approvals and No Objection Certificates (NOCs).
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports including dashboards and risk registers, highlighting critical issues to the client.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related fields.
- Minimum eight years of project delivery experience with at least five years in the UAE market.
- Proven experience on high-rise residential or mixed-use developments.
- Good knowledge of FIDIC contract forms and ability to draft contractual correspondence.
- Familiar with Abu Dhabi regulatory processes including ADM, ADDC, Civil Defence, and Estidama.
- Experience working on the client side or with Project Management Consultants is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, able to confidently lead contractor discussions while maintaining professional relationships.
- Possession of a valid UAE driving license.
- Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to Abu Dhabi.
