Opportunity Overview

This position involves managing project controls across ACCIONA's New Zealand projects from the Auckland corporate office. You will oversee cost control, risk management, planning, and reporting functions for ongoing and future projects. Collaborating closely with the Risk Lead and the broader controls team, you'll report to the Commercial Director for New Zealand and lead the establishment of consistent control systems and processes. Your role includes working with project managers and client stakeholders from project award through delivery.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee project control systems, templates, and reporting for projects across New Zealand.
• Serve as the main contact for project controls from project award to completion.
• Provide guidance and leadership to the Risk Lead and project controls team members.
• Develop and implement cost forecasting tools and progress monitoring methods.
• Conduct training sessions and audits to ensure proper use of cost control tools across projects.
• Assist project teams in developing and executing risk mitigation strategies.
• Promote consistent application of ACCIONA's operational standards and methodologies ('Ways of Working').

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Degree qualification in engineering, finance, commerce, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in project controls within the construction industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on influence and people management.
• Proficiency with cost forecasting techniques and progress tracking systems.
