Production Worker - Feeder-Folder

Job Summary

The Feeder-Folder is responsible for continuously handling clean textiles by grasping, sorting, and grading them, then folding manually or feeding them into machinery such as ironers or folders to complete the finishing process. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.

Primary Duties

• Pick textiles from carts or bins, sort and inspect them, and assess quality standards.
• Manually fold, assemble, and package various types and sizes of textiles.
• Operate ironer or folding machines by feeding different textile items into them.
• Load finished products onto conveyors or into carts, and empty product slings onto work surfaces.
• Transport loaded or empty carts and bins within the production space.
• Handle textiles according to their types and follow written instructions for packing.
• Consistently achieve expected efficiency and safety standards for the role.
• Adhere strictly to supervisory instructions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workspace.

Additional Responsibilities

• Fill other production roles as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately recognize colors and sizes and perform sorting and counting tasks.
• Skill in inspecting and grading textile products.
• Ability to understand and follow written packing instructions thoroughly.
• Capability to comprehend and act on verbal directions.

Physical Requirements

• Perform tasks involving standing, walking, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, grasping, lifting weights up to 25 pounds, and bending or stooping throughout shifts.
• Maintain physical stamina to meet the demands of the entire work shift.

Work Environment

• Operate in industrial laundry production areas with varying temperature, odors, humidity, lint, and dust conditions.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this role is $18.95.
