Role Overview
The Production Testing Technician will be responsible for the functional testing and validation of electronic products manufactured by Tor.ai. This hands-on role requires fundamental electronics knowledge, familiarity with electronic testing equipment, and the capability to precisely follow established test protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute functional tests on electronic devices and assemblies following specific test procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Inspect assemblies to detect basic functional or assembly defects.
- Perform firmware flashing and programming on electronic units when necessary.
- Operate diagnostic and computer-based testing software during production.
- Utilize electronic test devices such as DC power supplies and digital multimeters effectively.
- Accurately document testing outcomes and recognize units that fail quality standards.
- Report anomalies or test failures to production and technical teams promptly.
- Adhere closely to quality assurance, safety standards, and manufacturing test protocols.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Foundational understanding of electronic components and circuitry.
- Knowledge of electronic assembly processes and functional testing methods.
- Basic computer skills including operating test software and firmware flashing tools.
- Hands-on experience with tools like multimeters and DC power supplies.
- Ability to comprehend and implement detailed test instructions and SOPs.
- Strong attention to detail and disciplined approach to repetitive testing.
Preferred Profile
- Academic background in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, E&TC, or related technical fields.
- Experience or exposure to electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, or product testing preferred.
- Familiarity with working in production or manufacturing environments.
