About the Role
Adobe is undertaking a significant technical transformation of its Premiere desktop application, including revamping the video pipeline, migrating GPU support to multiple platforms, and embedding on-device AI capabilities into the editing timeline. These upgrades are designed to meet the exacting standards of professional video editors and creators.
As a Product Manager on the Realtime Experience team, you will serve as the critical link between engineering efforts and user workflows. This involves gaining deep, hands-on understanding of the team's technical development and how customers interact with Premiere Pro. You will identify product slowdowns and performance issues, and articulate what enhanced performance means for users facing tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate engineering goals into tangible customer benefits by understanding video modernization, GPU migration, and AI-powered features, and clearly tying progress to workflow improvements visible to users.
- Champion the customer editing workflows within the Realtime Experience domain by frequently engaging with professional editors and creators to discover current pain points and priorities around performance.
- Develop and maintain a 6 to 9-month strategic product roadmap, using evidence-based customer data and clear success indicators; continuously adjust priorities in response to technical constraints and user needs.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration across engineering, build, QA, and marketing teams to oversee scope, dependencies, and progress from concept to launch.
- Use Premiere Pro extensively and regularly, executing real editing scenarios, rigorously testing GPU-intensive features, and benchmarking against competitors such as DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, and Final Cut.
Candidate Profile
- 1 to 3 years of product management experience with proven ability to deliver feature or product ownership throughout the lifecycle.
- Solid understanding of video production and editing workflows, including familiarity with timelines, rendering processes, and performance requirements relevant to creators, coupled with eagerness to deepen this expertise.
- Technical curiosity that enables meaningful discussions with engineers around architecture, GPU workloads, and platform limitations without needing to be an engineer oneself.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of composing clear briefs, constructing logical prioritization arguments, and explaining complex trade-offs in accessible language.
- Proven capacity to coordinate effectively across diverse teams and influence partnerships without formal authority; characterized by organization, dependability, and collaboration.
- Comfort with navigating ambiguity, with a proactive approach that balances timely decisions and thoughtful inquiry.
