About the Role
Join our team as an Automation Engineer responsible for building and maintaining robust automation frameworks and test suites across various applications and services. The position emphasizes leveraging Playwright with Java/TypeScript and incorporates API automation to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and execute automation tests using Playwright integrated with Java or TypeScript.
- Develop and implement automated API tests employing Rest Assured and Karate tools.
- Analyze software requirements to create comprehensive and detailed test plans.
- Build, sustain, and enhance test automation frameworks centered on Playwright.
- Automate functional, regression, and integration test cases to improve testing efficiency.
- Embed automated testing processes within CI/CD pipelines for continual integration.
- Conduct testing across multiple platforms, including Web UI, APIs, Web Services, Mobile applications, and Salesforce environments.
- Maintain and manage test data along with generating detailed test reports.
- Identify and resolve issues related to automation and guide junior team members in best practices.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- 4 to 10 years of hands-on experience in automation testing with a strong focus on Playwright for UI and API automation.
- Proficiency with automation tools such as Playwright and Cucumber.
- Strong programming skills in Java and JavaScript or equivalent languages.
- Experience working with databases such as Postgres and Snowflake, including proficient SQL querying abilities.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda, to support automation efforts.
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities to collaborate effectively across departments.
