Role Overview
We are looking for a People & Culture Coordinator specializing in Engagement & Operations to join Raffles & Fairmont Doha. The role involves managing daily HR activities to ensure smooth employee experiences across the employment lifecycle. Key tasks include coordinating onboarding, maintaining employee files, managing HR systems, and supporting compliance with policies and labor laws. Additionally, the coordinator will plan employee engagement projects, wellness programs, recognition efforts, and internal functions to cultivate a positive and inclusive workplace environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operational tasks of the People & Culture department ensuring efficient HR administration and employee support.
- Organize and facilitate employee engagement activities, recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and internal events.
- Act as the initial point of contact for employee questions about HR policies, benefits, and procedures providing prompt and accurate assistance.
- Coordinate company-wide celebrations, town halls, and People & Culture campaigns.
- Handle the entire onboarding process for new hires.
- Keep accurate employee records and HR documentation within internal systems while maintaining confidentiality.
- Prepare various employment documents such as letters, certificates, and other HR correspondence.
- Ensure employee documents comply with company protocols and local labor regulations.
- Generate HR reports and maintain departmental tracking tools; assist with audits through proper documentation.
- Support the rollout and enhancement of People & Culture policies and operational procedures.
- Work closely with departmental leaders to implement HR initiatives and resolve employee-related concerns.
- Promote a workplace culture focused on engagement, inclusivity, and effective communication across all teams.
- Perform other duties as needed to support People & Culture objectives and business goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline.
- At least 1 to 2 years of experience in Human Resources or People & Culture roles, preferably in hospitality.
- Strong understanding of HR operations, employee engagement techniques, and industry best practices.
- Proficient with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Creative and innovative with the ability to develop and execute employee engagement campaigns and internal communications effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building strong workplace relationships.
- Highly organized with strong multitasking and time management capabilities.
- Professional demeanor with discretion handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Detail-focused with solid administrative and problem-solving expertise.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of local employment laws is a plus.
- Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are an advantage.
