About the Role
Join a Boise-based nanny agency that supports families across Boise and nearby communities with attentive, compassionate childcare. The organization is expanding and is looking for dedicated nannies who want to grow within a supportive team that values caregivers and offers room to advance.
This position is designed for nurturing professionals who enjoy caring for children of different ages and want a role with flexibility, strong team backing, and opportunities for long-term growth. Scheduling options may include full-time, part-time, weekend, or split-shift arrangements.
Compensation and Growth
The starting base pay is $15–$17 per hour, depending on experience. Earnings may rise significantly based on factors such as the number of children cared for, the type of shift or assignment, and specialized credentials or experience like newborn care, behavioral support, or special needs care.
The team also offers a career path, employee recognition, bonuses, and opportunities for raises. Pay is issued weekly through direct deposit, with an option to access wages up to two days early.
Work Environment
Team members are supported through an internal group chat, a private job board with new openings posted regularly, and office backup during shifts. The role is W-2 employment and includes work with families in a safe, positive, and legally compliant setting. The agency emphasizes inclusive care and has a strong commitment to serving children and families with special needs.
Responsibilities
- Watch over children closely and provide attentive, caring supervision in a safe environment.
- Plan and lead fun, age-appropriate activities that support early development and learning.
- Maintain a warm, structured home atmosphere that aligns with the family’s parenting preferences.
- Handle everyday childcare routines such as dressing, feeding, bathing, and playtime.
- Complete light household tasks related to the children, including laundry, tidying play spaces, cleaning up the kitchen after meal prep, and preparing meals.
- Transport children when needed using your own dependable, clean, and safe vehicle; parents will provide and install car seats as appropriate.
- Take initiative to support the family beyond the basics of supervision.
- Build positive, lasting relationships with both children and parents.
Requirements
- You must be a U.S. citizen.
- A valid driver’s license is required, along with the ability to drive children in your own vehicle.
- You need a clean driving record and no criminal convictions; an extensive background check will be completed.
- At least 2 years of childcare experience is required.
- Experience with infants/newborns or children with special needs is considered an advantage.
- Helpful extras include CPR and first aid training, SIDS training, early childhood education coursework, fluency in another language, or other relevant certifications or experience.
Additional Information
The agency offers flexible scheduling to support a range of life situations, including students, parents, and others seeking better work-life balance. Some placements are recurring with the same family, while others may be short-term, occasional, or on-call. The company is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate based on race, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, or any other protected status under federal, state, or local law.
