About The Role

Figma is expanding its team of passionate creatives dedicated to making design accessible to everyone. Our platform enables teams to take concepts from brainstorming through prototyping to code with real-time collaboration from anywhere globally. We're seeking a Motion Designer to join our Product Education team, focusing on educating users on integrating Figma into their workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full cycle of video production, from concept development to final delivery.
• Partner with Education Designers and Content Strategists to create clear, concise scripts and record voiceovers.
• Generate new video ideas, handle audio and video recordings, craft visual assets, animate, edit, write descriptions, and publish videos on YouTube.
• Design compelling motion graphics, animations, and transitions to complement and enhance screen recordings.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to grasp new and existing feature functionality and user benefits.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Brand, Community, and Growth teams to ensure proper content positioning for new features.
• Identify success indicators, conduct basic analytics, and engage with users through video comments.

Candidate Profile

• Experienced in animating educational content for SaaS products and features.
• Skilled in creating straightforward, engaging, and accessible instructional material.
• Capable of determining the best way to explain complex features, open to revising methods that don’t work.
• Proven track record of creative collaboration and innovative brainstorming.
• Passionate about democratizing design and development opportunities.

Additional Information

This is a full-time position available either at Figma’s US hubs or remotely within the United States. We value continuous growth and encourage candidates whose experience may not perfectly align to apply.

Annual base salary ranges between $105,000 and $183,000 USD depending on location and qualifications, with salary adjustments for remote roles based on employee location.
