Role Summary and Responsibilities

• Conduct inspection, cleaning, routine maintenance, and repairs for all mechanical and plumbing systems and installations.
• Oversee and upkeep all lighting systems throughout the hotel and retail areas.
• Maintain all HVAC units to ensure optimal function.
• Service motors, belts, bearings, and related mechanical components.
• Manage maintenance of shop tools and equipment.
• Support the Security Manager in maintaining life safety machinery including pumps and emergency diesel generators.
• Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions in equipment swiftly.
• Perform welding tasks as needed.
• Handle all hotel work orders pertaining to mechanical repairs.
• Provide assistance to other trades within retail and hotel sections as necessary.
• Respond promptly to maintenance calls, repairing issues or reporting complex problems to supervisors.
• Perform chemical testing on boilers, chillers, and swimming pools.
• Operate the Building Management System (BMS) computer platform.
• Serve as a fire response team member and remain on standby for emergencies.
• Implement preventative maintenance activities as scheduled by the Engineering Office.
• Coordinate with suppliers to procure parts and replacement materials.
• Maintain sufficient inventory of parts and materials in the maintenance workshop.
• Innovatively address electrical and mechanical challenges to keep equipment operational.
• Possess computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Skillfully troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems including PLCs, conduct adjustments, and manage product changeovers efficiently.
• Ensure workplace cleanliness and tidiness after completing jobs.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance especially in guest-facing areas.
• Monitor and record water supply readings regularly.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in building maintenance is considered advantageous.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and effective problem-solving capabilities.
• Highly accountable and dependable in work responsibilities.
