About the Role
Join Linfox as a Master Control Room Officer on the night shift and become part of a team delivering essential goods and natural resources across Australia. Work within our Resources & Industrial West operation, playing a vital role in safety, emergency management, and real-time transport decision-making. This position offers a pathway for career growth while covering night shifts from 10pm to 6am, Saturday through Wednesday.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere strictly to Safety Standards and Chain of Responsibility obligations at all times.
- Coordinate freight planning, including urgent freight order management and execution.
- Use fleet monitoring systems to oversee driver fatigue and welfare, ensuring safety compliance.
- Manage driver incidents and breakdowns, coordinating timely responses.
- Maintain precise data records and reports using systems such as SAP TM, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Provide support with miscellaneous transport administration tasks as needed.
Role Requirements
- Commitment to safety, compliance, and adherence to Chain of Responsibility regulations.
- Experience working in transport, logistics, mining, or resource sectors.
- Ability to work independently and make quick, sound decisions under pressure.
- Confidence in managing incidents, assisting drivers, and handling operational challenges (experience with Occupational Health and Safety is advantageous).
- Excellent communication skills with aptitude for fostering positive internal and external relationships.
- Proficient computer skills, ideally with experience using operational software like SAP TM.
